The Partnership Economy
The Partnership Economy: How Modern Businesses Find New Customers, Grow Revenue, and Deliver Exceptional Experiences by David A. Yovanno for me is the 101 when it comes to performance marketing. I read this during my first 2 weeks at GHQ and it made learning the job so much easier having that wider understanding.
Impact.com’s CEO David A. Yovanno delivers an insightful guide to performance marketing defining this as an era and way to grow a company’s revenue far beyond expectations.
He uses real-life examples from Fabletics, Target, and Ticketmaster. Highlighting how partnerships can build brand awareness, customer loyalty, and competitive advantage, all resulting in the tremendous possibilities for growth when partnership agreements work in concert across all partnership types, such as influencers, commerce content publishers and affiliate rewards.

Evergreen Affiliate Marketing
Evergreen Affiliate Marketing is a book by Nate McCallister that focuses on affiliate marketing strategies and concepts that will stand the test of time. Nate claims the principles in the book will remain relevant for another 20 years. This is a good overview if you want to learn more about marketing mindset concepts.
How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
This is a personal favourite of mine, after being given a copy during my first year of university I have reread this book multiple times. It has helped in countless situations, professional and personal.
For me Affiliate marketing is all about building and maintaining relationships, relationships with your publishers and also your clients. This is seen as the most famous confidence-boosting book ever published; with sales of over 16 million copies worldwide.
Carnegie offers practical advice for how to get out of a mental rut and make life more rewarding. His advice has stood the test of time and will teach you how to persuade people to follow your way of thinking and enable you to win new clients and customers.
The 1 Page Marketing Plan by Allan Dib
The book was recommended to me a couple of years ago. It has lots of interactive affiliate marketing terms, such as the 1-Page Marketing Plan canvas, which breaks down performance marketing into three categories: Before, During, and After.
The idea is to use the affiliate program tips in the book to fill in the canvas with the most efficient strategies for each section.
This book covers lots of topics such as how to get new customers, earn more profit from existing customers, close sales, beat your competition, use direct response marketing techniques, and create affiliate marketing campaigns on a small budget.
These are a few of my recommendations that have helped me throughout my career. It would be great to know yours…
